我國巴黎奧運考察團在巴黎時間15日，前往奧運籌備會、田徑競賽場館等地，由於舉行田徑的法蘭西體育場整修中，中華田徑隊總教練孫念祖表示，「目前田徑場還在施工，所以我們進去看有點失望。」
法蘭西體育場是多種用途的大型體育場地，可容納約8萬名觀眾，是為了1998年世界盃足球賽而興建，法國更在當屆世界盃決賽以3-0擊敗巴西，在主場取得首次世界盃冠軍，相當具有指標性。場地目前為了奧運正在翻修。
中華田徑隊總教練孫念祖指出，目前挖土機等一些機械都還在場地裡面，經詢問後，場地大概是4月底到5月中旬才能夠全部完工。
不過考察也有收穫的地方，孫念祖指出，最重要的是熱身場就在旁邊而已，到時候會有一條地下通道，運動員會從地下通道到檢錄處，再有人帶選手到賽場。
「還有一點就是，從選手村到田徑場，大概10至15分鐘的車程就到，也算比較方便。」

On the 15th, the Paris Olympic inspection team from our country visited the Olympic organizing committee and the athletics competition venue. However, due to ongoing renovations at Stade de France, where athletics events are to be held, Sun Nianzu, the head coach of the Chinese athletics team, expressed disappointment, saying, "The athletics field is still under construction, so we were a bit disappointed when we went in."
Stade de France is a large multipurpose stadium with a seating capacity of around 80,000. It was built for the 1998 FIFA World Cup, and France secured its first World Cup championship by defeating Brazil 3-0 in the final, making it an iconic venue. The stadium is currently undergoing renovations for the Olympics.
Sun Nianzu, the head coach of the Chinese athletics team, noted that there were still excavators and other machinery on the field. After inquiring, he learned that the venue is expected to be fully completed by the end of April to mid-May.
Despite the disappointment, there were positive aspects to the inspection. Sun Nianzu pointed out that the warm-up area is nearby, and there will be an underground passage for athletes to travel from the warm-up area to the check-in area and then to the competition venue.
He added, "Another point is that it takes about 10 to 15 minutes by car from the athletes' village to the athletics field, which is relatively convenient."
